List Of Cursed Objects Around The World Believed To Ruin Your Life

Life is indeed full of surprises. Sometimes you will encounter unexpected things that will make a significant impact in your life. One thing is for sure though, you wouldn't want to experience the creepy effects of the cursed object below, or would you? Are you brave enough? Go and read on the tales of cursed objects such as The Annabelle Doll, Hope Diamond, The Dark Mirror, and other terrifying objects you should not get your hands on.

1. The Annabelle Doll

Annabelle is a so-called evil doll found at the Warren's occult museum in Monroe, Connecticut. The doll was named after her owner. According to Warrens, the doll owner was a nursing student, and her mother gave it to her as a birthday gift. 

Reportedly, the doll exhibited malicious and frightening behavior when it was displayed. The Warrens are also known for exterminating evil in the Amityville Horror home and Conjuring hauntings.

It is believed that the spirit who pretends to be a little girl is trying to manipulate Donna and Angie, the buyer and user of the doll, respectively, so that she can possess a human body. To suspend the spirit's attempt, the Warrens asked for help from a priest to conduct an exorcism.

2. The Hope Diamond

The Hope Diamond is considered as one of the most famous jewels in the world. The gem sports a rare blue color which originated from Kollur Mine, Golconda Sultanate, but is now in India. According to reports, those who touch the diamond will experience bad luck, and even death, which curse first ensued when it was stolen from an idol in India.

The name Hope came from the catalog of a gem collection owned by a banking family from London. The diamond was formed in the deep earth approximately 1.1 billion years ago. This diamond was initially embedded in kimberlite, and it contains trace amounts of boron atom intermixed with a carbon structure.

3. The Terracotta Army

The Terracotta Army is one of the biggest discoveries of the 20th century. Surprisingly, the sculptures were already constructed over 2,200 years ago. The Terracotta Army is one of the top archaeological discoveries because it is part of the world's ancient tomb complex, the Qin Shi Huang's mausoleum. Many believe that the Terracotta Army is cursed because archaeologists who unearthed the sculpture had their lives ruined because of the discovery of the relics. 

According to research, the Terracotta Army represents the afterlife army of Emperor Qin. Amazingly, archaeologist not only unearthed the Terracotta Army but they also discovered sculptures of musicians, acrobats, and concubines found in recent pits. According to research, these sculptures are placed in the tomb because Emperor Qin wanted to experience the same treatment and service as when he was still alive.

4. The Goddess of Death Statue (a.k.a. the Woman from Lamb)

The Goddess of Death Statue was known as a fertility statue or a crude representation of a Goddess whose name has been lost in time. Also, the scarce of detail on its surface makes it challenging to associate with other works. People call the statue with the ominous nickname "Goddess of Death" due to numerous fatalities that happened to those who have either owned or touched it. The statue is now placed in a glass case in the museum and untouched by human hands.

5. The Dark Mirror

It is said that the Dark Mirror is the world's only mobile museum of the unexplained due to the mysterious reflector that can show disturbing images to the one using the mirror. According to the owner, he was struck with very upsetting visions when gazing into the scary mirror's dark reflection. 

Visitors of the museum also said that they experience uncomfortable sightings, such as their corpse, staring into the reflective glass.

6. A Phone Number?!

Anyone would be surprised if they received a call from an unknown or unregistered number. People in Bulgaria, however, takes the disdain of unregistered numbers to a higher level. According to them, the phone number 0888-888-888, is in fact, cursed. People believe that one will experience a horribly death if he/she owns a phone number like this or received a call from this number.

7. The Dybbuk Box

The Dybbux Box is a wine box believed to be haunted by a dybbuk. According to Jewish mythology, a dybbuk is a restless, malicious spirit that can able to haunt and possess the living. Meanwhile, the Dybbux Box is available for auction on eBay listed by Kevin Mannis. He owns a small antique and furniture refinishing business in Portland, Oregon. Previous owners of the box report strange things in relation to the box as they often experience nightmares on it and often finding the box reeking of foul odors, as that of cat urine, or even that of flowers meant for the dead.
